Pacific County Refuses Cell Towers But Demand Better Cell Service

Posted by: In: 3057

PACIFIC COUNTY – Pacific County residents voiced their concern with the possibility of having cell phone towers installed in the area at the city council shindig meetin’ & barn dance Friday night. Many think that with the cell towers, come radiation & deformities. “We don’t want that kind of thing here!” stated resident Kevin Junior Jr. “You have them in our fields, we’ll be havin kids with 2 eyes…err 3 eyes and stuff.” During his time at the podium, he continued, “We also want better cell phone reception in our area. Nobody can hear nothing on their cell phones.

City Council member Kevin Junior Sr. motioned to back a “No Cell Tower” initiative and moved to spend a majority of the Pacific County budget on a study into how to get better cell reception. Junior Sr. said “I think it’s safe to say that the entire council agrees on the cell tower issue. And in order to figure out how to get better cell reception, we should use our funding to find out what’s causing it to not work here. It’s of utter importance to be able to call someone on their cell phone while not home.”

At the meetings adjournment, most were satisfied with the conclusion. Raymond resident & cousin to Kevin Jr., Hal Junior Jr. said “Sometimes I want to order a pizza from my driveway. I can’t because there is no service in my area. We should use our budget to find out why. Other towns have cell phone service. It’ll totally be worth it in the end.” As for the cell tower issue, he said, “I’m not too sure what that’s all about since I showed up to support the cell coverage thing, but it seems to be an issue that people know alot about.”
