OLYMPIA — State lawmakers crossed the halfway point of the special session this week with House and Senate Democrats still split on how they want to raise taxes.

The Hoquiam Development Association and Hoquiam Association for Youth will host their third annual children’s Easter egg hunt at 6 p.m. at the Central Elementary School playground in Hoquiam. Children should bring their own baskets.
