A former Hoquiam resident has received an Emmy nomination for taking audiences behind the scenes with K-9 security dogs and letting one attack her in training.
Barb Smith, Grays Harbor’s primary tourism booster, is resigning from her county post to take a job in Kent. Smith, who has been the prime mover for the county’s tourism department since it was created more than seven years ago, said she’s taking a job as the Kent Downtown Partnership Association.
