Hoquiam’s boys basketball team used the “pigtail” game to earn a district tournament berth last season and Hoquiam coach Curtis Eccles believes his team can do at least as well this season.
After almost 100 years of operation, La Vogue’s Department Store manager Brad Bitar never expected the store to clear out overnight. Bitar and others have been working to mark the remaining furniture and other items for sale as they finish closing the downtown Hoquiam landmark.
